Homework Explanation

 

Journal Entry- Write a 3-4 sentence summary of 1 topic we have discussed in class.  (Written on notebook paper)

 

3-2-1 Summary – Answer the following: 3 things you learned about a topic, 2 things you found interesting, and 1 question you still have about the topic.  Please write in complete sentences. (Written on notebook paper)

 

Acrostic – Take a word from the unit and turn it into an acrostic poem.  Word must be at least 6 letters long.  (Written on notebook/printer paper)

 

5 multiple choice questions – Write 5 questions about our current unit, including 4 multiple choice answers for each question. (Notebook paper).

 

Rap/Poem – Write a rap or poem about 1 topic from the unit.  Must be at least 1 half page in length. (Notebook Paper)

 

Storyboard – Make a comic strip depicting one topic from the unit.  Must be at least 9 panes long. (Storyboard paper found in room).

 

Flyer/Ad – Create a brochure or flyer advertising one topic from the unit.  Must include at least 6 facts from the unit, a title, and color (Printer Paper).

 

Crossword – Create a crossword puzzle with at least 4 down and 4 across clues.  Fill in the puzzle with the correct answers. (Graph Paper).

 

Facebook Profile – Create a bio for one person we have learned about in our unit, or a person you create that could have lived during the time we are discussing.  Bio must have all their personal info, display 5 life events, 7 status updates, and 1 picture. (Facebook Profile AND Status Page).

 

Newspaper Article – Create the front page of a newspaper.  It must contain 2 pictures, two articles, a Large title and should fit on an 8 ½ x 14 piece of paper. (Can be 2 pieces of 8 ½ x 11 pieces taped together).

 

RAFT – Complete all 3 parts of the RAFT writing assignment. (Paper will vary based on Format)

 

Poster – Create a colorful, well made, accurate poster about a topic in the current unit.  Black and white, picture-less, and plain posters will receive half credit. Must contain at least 10 facts about the chosen topic, must be in color, cannot have printed out passages or pictures.(Poster Board/Poster Paper).
